Methods for forecasting of steel wire zinc coating quality

Abstract. The paper describes the concept of developed methods for forecasting of steel wire zinc coating quality. Rational limits of chemical elements in the steel wire have been found using statistical models. Mathematical modeling of the structure of the zinc coating formation has been made on the basis of the geometry of fractals. Dependence of coating zinc-iron coating phases' thickness and time of steel wire hot-dip galvanizing have been ascertained. This method allows to find rational steel wire moving speed in hot-dip galvanizing unit and to obtain the required level of quality.
