Microwave heating of oil products in pipelines

Abstract. Oil product’s high-frequency electromagnetic heating is an effective tool of volume heating. Present-day researches demonstrate the efficiency of this heating method. But most researches represent pipelines as a certain feeder ducting electromagnetic energy. From our point of view such approach is not effective due to great attenuation of electromagnetic waves giving it a considerable loss of time in elimination of asphalt-paraffin plugs. The asymmetrical strip line enclosed into the pipe can be used for solution to the problem of uniform heating.
