Categorical management in commerce: Instrument of management of goods assortment in retail trade
Abstract. Categorical management (or management of assortment) has arisen in the Europe in late 80s – early 90s of the XXth century. Nowadays a lot of Russian companies have admitted the technology. Categorical management allows to carry out efficient control of commodity assortment. An effective method of profit earning is competent work with assortment of goods. In the paper approaches to management of goods assortment using categorical management have been considered.
