Morphofunctional parameters of Fucus vesiculosus in conditions of the Kola Bay

Abstract. Morphofunctional features of brown algae in the Kola Bay – length, weight, surface area, specific surface, specific length – have been investigated. It has been found that the increase of environmental pollution is accompanied by some diminishment of seaweed. The largest plants of Fucus vesiculosus have been found in the central part of the Kola Bay. Data for 1999 and 2009 have reflected the stability and rather successful state of fucoid’s algae in the Kola Bay.
