Occurrence of mining-induced seismicity during bulk blasts at the underground mines, "Apatit" JSC

Abstract. The research results on identifying the rock mass reaction on dynamic impacts during mining operations at underground mines have been presented. Impact of bulk blasts has been assessed on the general occurrence of seismicity and its occurrence in 3 day period before and after bulk blasts. Several space-time regularities for occurrence of seismic events sources have been stated, they were triggered by a blast in the vicinity of blast and boundaries of stoping face. The stages of rock mass instability depending on external impacts have been determined. This allows increasing reliability of zoning seismic hazardous sectors of a mine field and creates feasible prerequisites for improving temporal location of increased risk periods.
