The modern systems of bar encoding of products
Abstract. In the paper the problems of role and place of product bar encoding as a supplying element of the logistics service have been considered. The development of bar encoding system has been shown. The peculiarities of different systems of the product shaped encoding and methodics of their calculation (on the example of EAN-13 and EAN-8 shaped encoding types) have been analyzed. The paper contains the list of the code "flags" appropriated to the countries by the EAN International association.
