Upbringing and education as factors of social progress in the concept of N.G.Shelgunov
Abstract. In the paper the author analyses the philosophical and pedagogical heritage of N.G.Shelgunov. The importance of the problem of the Russian education, developing of alternatives to the official doctrine of Russian autocracy has been considered, the personal contribution of Shelgunov in the solution of the problem of upbringing and education in Russia in the second half of the nineteenth century has been underlined.
