The image of science in public consciousness
Abstract. The paper considers the facts of negative attitude to science in the modern society: the wide spreading of unscientific concepts, the increase of average age of scientists working in abstract science, the fall of interest of youth to natural and technical education. The author has analyzed the reasons, consequences and ways of minimization of possible negative influence of these facts on the society.
