Macro-lichens of some mountain canyons of the Central and Western Khibiny

In the paper the problem of zonal position of the Barents Sea shore has been discussed basing on the plant communities' classification. The prevalence of hypoarctic and arctic-alpine species in the list of dominant and diagnostic species and the syntaxa spectrum of the area investigated has shown close affinities to the low (southern) arctic tundra zone.
