Methodological foundations of modern jurisprudence: Statement of a problem

In the paper the methodology of jurisprudence has been viewed as a multilevel formation that includes philosophical, logical, general scientific, particular scientific, juridical and interdisciplinary methods of cognition. It has been noted that philosophical methods set a strategy of juridical cognition, logical ones provide its rational clarity, general scientific methods define principles of scientific cognition as it is and set the scientific status of the science of law, particular scientific methods reflect the peculiarity of cognition of social phenomena, juridical methods define the specific character of the juridical cognition. Special attention has been paid to the problem of the method in modern domestic literature dealing with juridical problems.
