On the paradox of twins
Abstract. The most famous paradox of the special theory of relativity - the paradox of twins is considered. Usually this paradox is researched with the help of the general theory of relativity. The authors offer another formulation of the initial task leading to a paradox by its qualitative consideration, but the strict solution of this task can be found only in the frameworks of the special theory of relativity. The obtained exact solutions are characterized by the absence of the paradox and they show the internal self-consistence of the postulates of the special theory of relativity.
