PDFRead

Abstract. The paper analyses history of beginnings and development of the Confessing movement from the viewpoint of the evangelical movement as a whole and its "national" features. It has been shown that the movement is the most "German" and most conservative trend in the modern evangelical movement in Germany. Having appeared as a Biblical-Reformed movement the Confessing movement has gradually become part of Evangelicals and has kept in touch with the roots, which are in pietism.
