Evolution of methods of theoretical knowledge justification

PDFRead

Abstract. The paper analyzes the situation arisen in the physical science due to the anthropic principle used as a method of studying the reality and negative evaluation of this approach by some scientists. The problem of the cosmological constant calculation which forced scientists to use the anthropic principle has been considered in the paper. It has been shown that the new methods used by physicists do not contradict the principles of science formed during two and a half millennia of its development. The criterion of acceptance of the theory associated with the inclusion of unobservable objects into theoretical scheme has been formulated; explanations regarding the legality of using the anthropic principle as a tool for scientific research have been given.
